Specialist Lender and Bank - Group Head of Credit Risk
As a trusted partner, InterQuest were asked to support the hiring of a Group Head of Credit Risk. Our specialist lending client had specific requirements relating to senior stakeholder management, technical knowledge, and role location. InterQuest effectively understood the client's requirements before conducting a comprehensive search to deliver the successful candidate.
High-Growth Fintech - Head of Data Science
Our fast-growing fintech client was looking to supplement their data science and decision capabilities with a senior hire. The business had exact requirements relating to technical knowledge, hands-on modelling capabilities, and solutions/team leadership experience. Having previously engaged another firm, unsuccessfully, InterQuest partnered with the client to deliver a candidate shortlist resulting in a successful hire.
Global Investment Bank - Head of Market Risk Management
As a trusted partner to our global investment banking client, InterQuest were requested to support with the hire of a Head of Market Risk Management. This was a high-profile hire which required an extensive search to identify the right candidate. Additionally, due to the seniority of the role, InterQuest were required to support the candidate through numerous stages of interviews to ensure a successful outcome.
Global Debt Purchaser - Decision Science Team Build
Having previously been retained to hire a Director of Decision Science, InterQuest were exclusively engaged to build the decision science team in the UK. The roles required a high level of technical modelling and data science competency, strong coding skills and candidates who were able to be flexible and adaptable. InterQuest were successful in hiring four analysts/senior analysts to grow the team.
Large Challenger Bank - Head of Operational Risk
InterQuest was exclusively retained to support the Chief Risk Officer with the key hire of a Head of Operational Risk for our large challenger banking client. This was a critical hire for the business to support the ongoing risk framework implementation, systems change, and overall business objectives. InterQuest were able to provide a strong shortlist and expertly manage the process at pace to ensure a successful hire and excellent outcome.
Specialist Challenger Bank - Head of Prudential Regulation
Having supported our specialist challenger banking client with a significant number of hires, InterQuest were requested to support with the hire of a Head of Prudential Regulation. InterQuest were able to partner with the Chief Financial Officer to inform the mandate and requirement before conducting a thorough search against the specific client's needs. InterQuest were able to provide a strong shortlist and successful candidate due to our excellent market knowledge.
Global Crypto Exchange - Deputy Chief Risk Officer
InterQuest was exclusively retained by a Global Crypto Exchange to build their risk leadership team under the Chief Risk Officer. This retained project included a Deputy Chief Risk Officer, Head of Fraud, and Head of Financial Risk. InterQuest were able to use its enviable network and search skills to, at pace, identify a shortlist for each role and successfully support the CRO to identify excellent candidates for each role with the client remarking how impressed they were by both the process and candidates.
Digital Bank - Director of Financial Crime and MLRO
Our client is a leading fintech bank providing loans, cards and savings products. InterQuest were retained to hire a Director of Financial Crime and MLRO to support the business’ growth and to support the implementation and embedding of a formal three lines of defence model. Following a change in the mandate which required the search to be run again, InterQuest were able to provide a diverse and strong shortlist. This assignment has been successfully delivered.
Cards and Payments Firm - Compliance Director and MLRO
Following a change in senior leadership, InterQuest were retained to support the hire of a Compliance Director and MLRO (in addition to the compliance team below this role). The mandate called for very specific industry experience, relating to payments and cards, in addition to the ability of the successful candidate to deliver change. Optimus had previously used contingent recruitment businesses and had been unsuccessful. InterQuest were able to deliver against the mandate successful and received excellent feedback from the CEO. Successfully delivered assignment.
High Growth Fintech - Global Head of Fraud
Due to a strong track record of supporting our client to identify high-performing talent, InterQuest were retained to deliver a Global Head of Fraud, in addition to a Fraud Team, for the business based in the USA. InterQuest were able to deploy our specialist consultants to run a thorough search to deliver a shortlist of qualified and interviewed candidates who we were confident would be both a cultural and role fit. We were then able to successfully guide the candidate through the process and pace to ensure a successful hire.
Global Cards Company – Director of Compliance
Having supported the Chief Compliance Officer at our global cards client previously, with full-time and consulting talent, InterQuest were engaged to deliver a Director of Compliance for the Nordics. This was a highly sensitive and nuanced mandate that required strong compliance skills, direct credit card experience, and the ability to deal with several strong stakeholders whilst operating within a matrix global organisation. Having previously struggled to identify quality talent utilising local firms our client trusted InterQuest to deliver this mandate.
