We are recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking financial services organisation that is undertaking a large-scale digital transformation powered by Finova’s Apprivo 2 platform. As their new Software Technology Manager, you will be responsible for leading and scaling the end-to-end implementation of this market-leading solution. Finova Apprivo 2 is a powerful, configurable digital banking engine designed to support lending, deposits, onboarding, and full customer lifecycle management—ideal for institutions aiming to modernise their core operations.
This is a strategic opportunity to take full ownership of one of the most important technology initiatives within the business. You will lead all aspects of engineering delivery—from architectural design and integration, to build, release, and continuous improvement. Your role will be pivotal in embedding the Apprivo 2 platform into the client's digital ecosystem, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and aligned with regulatory and business objectives.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to define the technical roadmap, introduce modern engineering practices, and streamline development through DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines. You'll also manage relationships with third-party vendors, including Finova, ensuring robust delivery governance, performance oversight, and alignment to technical standards. A key part of your role will be building and mentoring high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of agility, accountability, and innovation.
This role requires someone with deep technical and leadership experience in financial services, particularly with complex software delivery. A solid understanding of Finova / Apprivo 2 or similar core banking platforms is essential, along with expertise in financial product configuration, workflow orchestration, and systems integration in regulated environments. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who thrives on challenge and wants to make a genuine difference to how digital banking operates.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of Finova / Apprivo 2, from technical design and delivery to deployment and continuous optimisation.
- Build secure, cloud-native, and scalable platforms that comply with financial regulations and industry standards.
- Drive DevOps maturity, CI/CD pipelines, and automation to support agile and resilient delivery.
- Establish observability, quality assurance, and performance metrics across the engineering lifecycle.
- Provide leadership in incident and problem management, ensuring resilient runbooks, root cause analysis, and strong operational readiness.
- Collaborate with Finova and other vendors to manage technical delivery, integration, and cost performance.
- Develop, lead, and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams across software, QA, platform, and data engineering.
- Promote best practices in software development, security, and risk governance.
Candidate Profile
- 8+ years of engineering leadership experience, ideally in financial services or banking environments.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large Finova / Apprivo 2 implementations or similar platforms.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, CI/CD, and Agile/DevSecOps practices.
- Strong technical knowledge across customer onboarding, loan origination, deposits, and workflow configuration.
- Experience managing third-party vendors and ensuring alignment with internal technical and commercial objectives.
- Comfortable working in regulated environments with risk, audit, and compliance responsibilities.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
