Product Lead

AI Product Lead (FTC) - 115k (With Bonus Between 10-30k) - UK Remote First



ECOM are delighted to have teamed up with a major player in AI scene in the UK on their search for a Product Lead on a fixed term contract (could convert to full time dependent on performance).



As the Product Lead, you will spearhead the strategy and execution for multiple cross functional product teams focused on supporting data collectors and their success on their platform. You will oversee the development and enhancement of data collection tools and orchestration products, including both user interfaces and APIs, while driving the creation of new products within the portfolio.



This role combines strategic ownership of the product roadmap with hands on product management responsibilities for at least one team. You will also manage and coach product managers within your group, fostering a culture of drive, commercial acumen, pragmatism, and trust. Your ability to navigate complex prioritisation, make informed trade offs and unblock challenges swiftly will be essential.



You will champion ethical and safe AI practices, leveraging your passion and experience in AI training, benchmarking and human feedback systems. Your leadership will help elevate the Product Management team to world class standards, focusing on building products that delight users and deliver commercial value. The role offers significant autonomy and trust within a mission driven environment at the forefront of human data infrastructure for AI innovation.



The Ideal Candidate:



Deep passion for ethical and safe AI, AI training and evaluation methods
Expertise in product management tools and frameworks
Experience in high velocity, continuous product development environments
Strong knowledge of Agile and Lean principles, including thin/vertical slicing
Ability to leverage AI tools as a product leader
High data literacy and data informed decision making skills
Capability to make strategic bets in data poor environments
People management and coaching experience with a track record of developing technologists
Excellent storytelling and presentation skills
Strong computational thinking and conceptual clarity
