IT Application Support Engineer
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Application Support Engineer to join a leading international education charity on a permanent basis.
The IT Application Support Engineer will be responsible for providing first rate application support on a range of digital systems (bespoke & SaaS), whilst working with third party suppliers to ensure applications work optimally and that there are robust interfaces in place between systems.
The IT Application Support Engineer will also be tasked with reactive support for break fix incidents escalated from the service desk and completing service requests, whilst contributing to projects to improve our clients products and operating processes.
IT Application Support Engineer- Essential Expereince
- Experience of working with SDLC (software development life cycle)
- Demonstration of technical problem diagnosis and troubleshooting within an application support capacity.
- Experience with workflow management with an understanding of database technology.
- Capability to provide application support to SaaS applications (Submittable, SharePoint forms, Accredible, Auth0, ContentStack, Surpass)
- Skills to provide app support to legacy systems and websites whilst workign with 3rd party development and support teams.
- Capability to coordinate the delivery of small value add development to applications across the full lifecycle.
- SharePoint knowledge with the ability to assist users with the design and implementation of new SharePoint and Intranet/extranet sites.
- Expereince of managing incident process for application based issues whilst managing stakeholder communication.
- Experience of producing self-help documentation for staff to resolve common application issue.
- Experience of identifying and reporting on trends in support tickets to train the helpdesk and user champions to resolve issues at 1st line stage.
- Team player, with demonstrable ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences and 3rd party supplies with good supplier management skills.
- Strong commitment to delivering the highest standards of customer service and care.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, priorities workload and deal with high pressure scenarios.
- Expereince of working in medium-size organisation and providing support across a broad spectrum of applications.
IT Application Support Engineer- Desirable Expereince
- Expereince with coding/scripting is advantageous
- Expereince of Oracle DB and or AWS is highly desirable
- Experience of working within an education environment.
The role is hybrid and requires 1-2 days on site per week in London
