Day Rate: £550 per day

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Contract Product Owner to join a dynamic team on a remote basis. This role is initially for 6 months with a strong likelihood of extension for an additional 12 months. The successful candidate will take ownership of the product backlog, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs. A key focus will be on backend financial ledger systems, ideally within a B2B2C environment, ensuring the product aligns with strategic goals and customer requirements. The role demands strong stakeholder management, prioritisation skills, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable user stories within an Agile framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring clear user stories and acceptance criteria
• Collaborate with development, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver product increments
• Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap aligned with business objectives
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and support continuous improvement of delivery processes
• Analyse and incorporate feedback from users and stakeholders to refine product features
• Manage dependencies and risks across multiple teams and workstreams

Skills

• Proven experience as a Product Owner in Agile environments
• Strong knowledge of backend financial ledger systems
• Experience working in a B2B2C environment
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria
• Prioritisation and backlog management expertise
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities
• Experience collaborating with technical teams (developers, QA)
• Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Remote working discipline and self-motivatio
