Senior UX Designer

Hybrid working, office based in Central London

Salary competitive

£30,000 to £45,000 per annum plus benefits

Job overview:

A senior designer has the expertise to oversee design projects from conception to delivery. They must feel confident taking the lead on projects and will be expected to review the work of more junior designers to make sure it is of high quality.

A senior designer should have considerable experience in user experience (UX) design and must possess impressive research and visual design skills, expertise in effective communication, and a proven ability to innovate.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Oversee design projects from conception to delivery
• Actively participate in the design of product mock-ups and prototypes
• Create technical outputs for handover to development, such as information architecture, design systems and sitemaps
• Work directly with clients to understand problems and create solutions from insights
• Provide support and guidance to junior designers when required
• Review junior designers’ work to ensure high quality
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and tools
• Work closely with developers to review design feasibility and efficiency
• Facilitate transition of projects from design to development

Requirements and skills:

• Proven work experience as a UX designer, UI designer, product designer or graphic designer
• Portfolio of completed design projects
• Wireframing and prototyping experience
• Proficient in design software (Figma & Adobe suite required)
• Prior experience performing qualitative research, interviews, surveys
• Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colours, fonts and layouts
• Desire and ability to collaborate closely with others
• Ability to work at pace and meet deadlines
• Ability to take critical feedback and use it to iterate and improve work in progress

Desired qualifications:

• BA/BSc in product design, ux/ui design, graphic design or similar
• Relevant experience in UX design/digital product design
• Web design or web app design – Power Apps or Power Platform
