Our client is new FinTech organisation that has offices Globally. They are currently looking for an experienced remote Software Engineering Manager to join their fast-growing team. This role holds overall accountability for Digital Platform, Channel (web, app & voice) and Internal Engineering for Consumer, Enterprise, and Customer Services. Leadership of a growing engineering team, leaders, and agile leads. You will take responsibility for the quality, Pace, Governance, Cost and Operating Model of our clients Digital Product Engineering capability. Acting as a key point of ownership for C-level stakeholders, and the source of control & credibility for Technology in its digital deliveries.
You will take responsibility in building a team of engineers & leaders across multiple engineering disciplines, delivering high quality products to committed dates. You will be embedding lean development operating models, valuing ownership, responsiveness, predictability, and transparency. You will be ensuring they are making best use of industry leading engineering practices, tools & capabilities, and that they are prepared for what is coming next in the marketplace. You will be bringing industry thought-leadership and globally representing our client's brand in the global Technology space.
We are looking for candidates who have demonstrable experience of the full software development lifecycle including multiple delivery mythologies with the ability to mentor, motivate and shape high performing teams. You will also need to show that you have experience in leading multidiscipline technology teams across multiple locations and operational experience in cloud-based solutions with challenging expectations of security, availability, and performance.
· A good understanding frontend and backend technologies
· Experience with Postgresql / MongoDB;
· Working with Docker / Kubernetes;
· Have experience leading teams in high-load systems environments.
· Multilingual languages skills
· Experience developing banking systems
· Experience with payment processing and acquiring
· Experience in fintech projects
Any formal project management qualification such as ITIL, Scrum, Agile, MSP or PMP will give you a distinct advantage but not essential.
A pre-requisite is the ability to consult with and gain the support of the key stakeholders, in particular department heads across all Divisions. You will be a good influencer, able to get buy in from stakeholders & subordinates alike.
