Service Manager- ITIL4/Agile DevOps, SRE

Service Manager with broad service management experience including experience of supporting agile projects and awareness or exp of Agile/SRE/DevOps is needed to work for our Russell Group University client.

The Service Manager will be tasked with leading and driving the work of the Agile Service Management Office in enabling Services and Product Teams to deliver Value whilst managing ongoing improvement of multiple aspects of service management function. Ensure governance is embedded within service practices to maximise outcomes for Services and balance speed of execution with stability and user experience

Service Manager- ITIL4/Agile DevOps, SRE- Essential Experience

* Comprehensive knowledge or demonstrable experience of IT Service Management and its application in a modern working environment.
* knowledge and experience of multiple frameworks including ITIL4 and Agile
* Ability to develop and maintain their own knowledge at the forefront of current thinking in their field. Uses critical analysis to evaluate new developments and is able to quickly determine the potential impact of such developments
* Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity
* Demonstrated ability to manage and make insightful decisions effectively with uncertain and incomplete information
* A broad understanding and extensive experience of the entire technology stack provided by large complex IT organisations, with the ability to analyse how this impacts services (Cloud, hardware, applications, databases, operating systems, and LANs).
* Experience and understanding of agile projects with multi-framework understanding (at least some training) in ITIL + other frameworks such as agile, SRE, Devops.

Service Manager- ITIL4/Agile DevOps, SRE- Desirable Experience

* Knowledge and / or qualifications in frameworks including by not limited to ITIL4, Agile, DevOps, SRE.
* Experience of working in within Higher Education or similarly complex and varied environment.

This role is inside IR35 and required two days per week on site working in central London.
