IT Service Manager required for this leading technology solutions leader to ensure the provision of its IT service

This role requires a professional and skilled individual who has a technical background in hands-on datacentre and at-scale web architecture management, working with Linux and Windows architectures to manage and lead a skilled Service Delivery team and engage with the business to ensure IT service provision to this highly professional; Capabilities will also include Can push projects and lead; support the teams; hands on as required and excellent people/interpersonal skills

Skills background required:-

- 5+ years production/enterprise grade Linux administration experience using a mainstream Linux distribution e.g. CentOS, Ubuntu, RedHat
- Apache Web Server build and implementation
- MySQL/MariaDB database installation, configuration, management and tuning
- Docker Swarm/Kubernetes/Orchestration Systems
- Network management and automation Scripting Knowledge - Bash / Python / Perl
- Automation Scripting Knowledge - Perl / Python / Bash
- Automated monitoring solutions (Nagios / Zabbix / Cacti etc.)
- Security focus
- Driving license

Desirable is : Ansible automation experience; MySQL Database tuning and Amazon AWS

Role Responsiibilities include:

- Ensuring the efficient and effective provision of IT Service to the business
- Day to day management and workload management of the Service Delivery team and engage with the business to provide service improvements to existing processes
- Supplier management of services relating to the provision of Production, QA and Development systems
- Work with the QA and Development teams to help manage the release of software to the respective environments.
- Orchestration of the Service Delivery team to provide 24x7x365 cover, cross-skilling and arranging additional training for the team
- Player/Manager engagement to help resolve faults or deliver projects
- Predictive exhaustion determination to understand scaling or performance issues in advance of a fault
- Root cause analysis, problem management and incident management of issues
- Engagement with Senior management to raise and resolve concerns/issues
