An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Senior Service Delivery Manager to join our thriving financial services organisation. The client is offering varied and challenging environment with the opportunity to add and grow their UK operations.

Senior Service Delivery Manager will take responsibility to align technology vision with business strategy by integrating company processes with the appropriate technologies. Ensure that the large technology team to deliver services to the agreed service level targets. This individual will maintain existing enterprise systems, while providing direction in all technology-related issues in support of information operations and core company values.

You will take responsibility for the Service Transition impact assessment and planning for operational readiness, ensuring the integrity of the live environment is protected and that new/changed services can be supported by IT through identification and completion of readiness requirements. Ensure detailed planning, engagement and agreement with Programmes and Projects takes place, liaising with Technical Leads, Developers, BA's, PM's, and Support Services stakeholders to ensure support issues are progressed effectively and to the satisfaction of the business. Deliver Service Readiness documentation as per the Service Transition process that will be reviewed and approved by key stakeholders and ensure relevant Service

Strong leadership is obviously vital as is an excellent commercial background. You will provide leadership to identify, analyze & communicate business process needs and potential information technology solutions. This role is for someone who can understand their business sector and has a massive desire to achieve. You will demonstrate strong influencing skills and is an ambassador for positive change. You will be responsible for aligning the IT Strategy with business objectives, implementing and managing the IT Strategic initiatives and deliver world-class service to business constituents and external customers. You will matrix manage teams; produce operational support cost/impact statements; challenge and influence the requirement for, and planning / readiness of, requests for change.

The crux of the role is to ensure that there is a clear understanding of business requirements and priorities ensuring appropriate IT solutions are identified & delivered in an expedient manner. You will define and own the IT Mission, formulate and deploy short, medium and long-term strategic IT Plans that align the IT business model with business needs of the organisation.

In terms of experience this role requires someone who has managed a massive service desk departments, designing and implementing solutions, ServiceNow implementations and business applications and engineering innovative improvements to current technology change programmes. You will take responsibility to maintain global business process and IT knowledge necessary to anticipate IT solutions for emerging business opportunity in all supported area.

A pre-requisite is the ability to communicate & present effectively to executive stakeholders. You'll be a strong influencer, able to get buy in from stakeholders & subordinates alike. You'll have demonstrable experience of Change Management, Service Desk Management, Service transition, Transformation & Project Management. We are looking for ITIL v3 certification & expertise in a large End User Service delivery environment and industry best practice in process, controls, tools, standards and methods within IT Infrastructure/ Operations Directorship.
