Senior PMO Manager

Nottingham

£60,000 to £70,000 +car allowance, bonus, enhanced pension

Hybrid working (2 days a week onsite)

We are currently looking for an adaptable and seasoned PMO Manager to lead our clients Portfolio Management Office. You will report into the Director of Portfolio Management and Business Planning you will use your expertise to improve change management capability within the organisation, generating momentum and instilling a culture of delivery.

Key Role Responsibilities

* Sets the overall pace and rhythm of planning and execution, supporting governance agility and agile project disciplines
* Leads the development, maintenance and embedding of frameworks, methodologies, tools and processes that enable dynamic change disciplines
* Secretariat to the Business Planning Committee, supporting the ongoing continuous improvement of Change Capability
* Owns and optimises the Change Governance Framework, including group level pipeline management, investment governance, delivery governance and assurance, planning, tracking and dependency management
* Manages and maintains delivery KPIs, with insight driven executive reporting and MI
* Lead and co-ordinate strategic and periodic planning sessions
* Oversees project, programme, and portfolio assurance regimes, incorporating a Three Lines of Defence approach
* Builds outstanding senior stakeholder relationships, particularly amongst the Business Sponsor community
* Provide second line of defence support to project teams, provide coaching to sponsors, managers and stakeholders
* Line manage and ongoing development of the PMO team

Experience and Skills required

* Demonstrable Change Leadership experience, heading up a central department, governing and overseeing large scale complex organisational change within a Technology and / or Change environment
* Experience of designing and implementing industry best practice change management standards and holding teams accountable to those standards Portfolio and programme management
* Understanding of Jira, Agile, Scrum and Kanban essential
* Understanding of a high performance PMO / TMO and the vision and ability to bring this to life
* Understands and has worked in an agile delivery environment
* Strong, positive and influential leader, and team player with outstanding stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
* A continuous improvement ethos, always striving to further evolve and develop the team and change function
* Demonstrates a growth mindset, passionate and interested in developments in the world of technology change / delivery
* An individual that can operate beyond the traditional 'compliance and control' PMO environment, reaching out to identify and share best practice
* Adept working with Project Managers on the ground and business partnering with senior directors and executives
* Listens, collaborates, and lands compelling improvements and doesn't rely on what has not worked in the past
* Curious with data and is strong in deriving fact-based insights that shape action and activity

The role will be predominantly remote, with your attendance only required in the office for town hall meetings/workshops.
