Senior IT Project Manager

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager who will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of high-profile digital projects within a Higher Education organisation.

Our client is focused on delivering innovative, integrated and secure digital systems to support the central University and currently undertaking an exciting portfolio of digital projects supporting the University's five-year strategy.

Candidate Profile:

As a Senior IT Project Manager you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of digital projects for both new solutions and enhancements to existing systems. You will be working with Project Sponsors and business stakeholders and have responsibility for ensuring that projects commence on strong foundations with clearly understood business cases, good governance and clear objectives, scope, planning and risk management. You will be expected to proactively manage and report progress, ensuring solutions are fully tested, implemented successfully and transferred into business-as-usual operations. A highly effective leader, you have strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to work well with a multiple-disciplinary team and communicate well with technical colleagues and third parties. Candidates must demonstrate experience of delivering large-scale digital projects at a senior level. You will be expected to operate within a PMO framework and have experience of PRINCE2, Waterfall and Agile PM methods.

About the role:

The University currently operates a Hybrid Working framework involving a mix of working from remotely and in the office. Typically the majority of employees will be able to agree to work remotely for up to 60% of their working week, role dependent, however will be required to attend on specific days for training or team meetings.

This is a permanent position, with a salary of between £40,000 to £50,000 - with the potential for approval of a £6,000 market supplement.
