Our client is currently embarking on an ambitious growth plan, leveraging technology and data as strategic levers. As such, a need for a new role has emerged - Senior Data Engineer, that will be critical in delivering their strategy. With their headquarters in London, and their international hubs for Europe, MENA, Latin America and Asia, they develop apps that use huge quantities of Blockchain related data from across the globe for various purposes. These apps are both web and mobile and use a variety of machine learning techniques to sort through and make sense of the data. The Senior Data Engineer will be a senior data lead who will work with experienced and sort after Engineers to drive the client's Data strategy. This role will be responsible for proactively sourcing opportunities in partnership with the business, to drive value creation by leveraging both, the client's data assets internally and data ecosystem externally. The client now has a huge number of disparate data sources across the business and the data currently sits on a variety of platforms. They are looking to build a data lake (AWS) to pool all the data and then provide structured warehouses that feed on the data lake. We are looking for someone who has ideally done something similar i.e. Worked on a data lake project and built pipelines to fill the lake with raw data.
