Unique opportunity for a Backend Software Engineer to join an ecommerce scale-up in Manchester that have the backing of a FTSE 250 company and launched to the public late 2020 with a full UK wide TV advertising campaign.

As a Backend Software Engineer, you'd a product engineering department that is in the process of growing to almost 300 people and would play a key role in shaping their culture, systems and overall approach to software engineering.

The existing group are very open minded, they work as integrated, multi-disciplinary agile teams who value diversity and teamwork over individual heroics so you'd be working alongside product, data and delivery professionals, as well as other software engineers that are passionate about using quality practices like TDD, Pair Programming and DevOps.

Tech knowledge should include:

◈ Great understanding of TypeScript, React, Node, AWS
◈ Deep understanding of web applications and the surrounding stacks
◈ Experience building and supporting public cloud apps using C#, Java or Typescript
◈ Experience with Serverless compute such as Lambdas or Functions, Serverless Framework, NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or Mongo
