Procurement Specialist

£200-£250 per day


Windsor - Hybrid working (2 days in office per week)

InterQuest are recruiting on behalf of one of the world's leading hotel companies for a Procurement Specialist/Coordinator. You will be responsible for the management of and executing on Procurement's capabilities roadmap, development tools, skills coaching/content, and owner of the project lifecycle and value methodology.

What duties & responsibilities the Procurement Specialist will have:

* As part of People strategy agreed with Procurement Leadership Team (PLT) lead the procurement capabilities and development programme, supporting the advancement to a higher level on the Procurement maturity curve
* Manage Procurement Academy learning and development curriculum, ensuring integration
* Implement the Procurement Academy curriculum through individually leading training or working with internal / external parties to deliver agreed content, including ARIBA Project Lifecyle coaching
* Identify Procurement related capabilities and knowledge required by the wider business, work with other departments / functions to ensure delivery of training and content
* In conjunction with line managers, manage Procurement employee on-boarding and off-boarding to ensure consistency and effective knowledge transfer
* Manage people strategy and Procurement Academy content ensuring materials are kept up to date and are available to Procurement members globally
* Drive continuous improvement culture and support Procurement leadership on other initiatives as required

What skills & experience the Procurement Specialist will need:

* Minimum of 3-5 years in a corporate environment
* Demonstrated experience of managing projects and initiatives ideally with experience in procurement/supply chain management
* Experience in coaching/training teams or change management
* Bachelor of Science / Administration degree required, business and/or related scientific field of study preferred

* Ability to sustain high impact, trusted relationships, with strong communication skills including public speaking

* Experience building presentations, process steps, turning complex information into simple concepts

* Ability to influence senior leadership and peers and effectively navigate across a matrix organisation, drive change and champion Procurement maturity agenda

* Sound decision making ability; comfortable making improvement recommendations
