Our client are an award-winning company, specialising in mobile app and website development based in luxurious offices in Central Manchester. They're seeking an Office Manager to cover events and facilitate the smooth running of their busy office. Our client is a modern employer and you will benefit from free pay day lunches, flexitime and excellent benefits. This is a standalone position paying up to £25,000.

What is expected of the Office Manager;

General

* Ordering of consumables including stationery, kitchen supplies and office maintenance
* Monitoring cleaning standards and liaising with the cleaners/management
* Ensuring that the office is adhering to health and safety standards including fire and first aid
* Planning and executing all Company events
* Managing the purchase order process and reconciliations with accounts
* Identifying any areas for improvement within the office and communicating suggestions to the HR manager

Reception

* Meeting and greeting guests and providing refreshments/catering as required
* Maintaining an awareness of the key visits and activities taking place within the Company
* Managing and distributing all incoming calls through the main switchboard
* Managing the booking system for meeting rooms
* Collecting and distributing all company post to relevant individuals/departments
* Monitoring and maintaining office equipment

HR

* Conducting reference checks on all new employees
* Coordinating the onboarding process for all new employees
* Monitoring the time keeping system to ensure compliance, escalating any issues as necessary
* Maintaining the support rota
* Monitoring of staff holidays and absences, ensuring return to works are completed
* Assisting with the collating of monthly payroll amendments
* Providing administrative support, including taking minutes, reporting, generating weekly/monthly reports and producing documents, PowerPoint presentations, papers and communications as required.
* Leading ad hoc project work as required from time to time delivering organisational improvements to processes.

What we look for in an Office Manager;

* Proven knowledge as an Office Manager or Office Assistant
* Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
* Hands on knowledge with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers)
* Confident typist with strong use of English language and grammar

What the successful Office Manager will receive;

* Base salary up to £25,000
