UX Researcher - Digital Discovery, Design & User Experience

£50,000 to £60,000 per annum plus benefits

An exciting and unique opportunity for a UX Researcher opportunity to join a growing consultancy focussing within Defence. This role involves a combination of UX research, UX design, and leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience working either as a UX Researcher or UX Designer.

For this role, you will have two clear objectives:

1) Support the Digital Discovery gateway process of new projects for an MOD client; co-ordinating with the Digital Discovery team.

2) You will also be responsible for providing support and mentorship to a small team of designers focussed on creating and implementing innovative and creative design solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Leading, managing and mentoring a small team of UX designers/researcher to deliver high-quality design work that meets client needs and project timelines.
• Overseeing the design teams process, from research to testing, and ensure that all design work meets quality standards and best practices.
• Fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation within the design team.
• Conducting design research to identify new trends, technologies, and best practices that can be incorporated into our design processes.
• Developing and implementing design strategies that align with the company's goals and vision.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-4 years experience in a UX research and/or design role.
• Degree educated (ideally UX Design, Graphic Design or Computer Science)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively – internally & externally.
• Proficient in design software such as Figma, Framer and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
