Lead Mobile Developer - Kotlin - £100k - Renewable Energy Tech Startup

Our client is a fast-growing green energy startup with an award-winning app which is set to change the landscape of renewable energy use! Having been established for two years already, they have already secured significant funding and have a popular product out to market with a steady client base... they are now set to expand their product offering looking at smart charging products for the whole home suite.

As such, they are on a massive recruitment drive; we have already hired 8 people into their team in the last two months and they have headcount to hire another 10 people before the end of the year. We are looking for a lead mobile engineer to come on-board and be part of this growth, have an active voice in the direction of the company and help shape the mobile team.

We can pay up to £100k basic salary, as well as a strong benefits package and the chance to be awarded shares within the company, without salary sacrifice! This is a truly phenomenal opportunity to involved with a start-up company that has already proven its success and is now looking to grow aggressively, with you being a key part of their tech foundation.

You will be working on exciting greenfield projects from day one, with lots of work to get involved and share your ideas on. If you're looking for a dynamic and creative working environment where everyone is challenged and everyone has a voice that is listened to (whether you're a graduate or the CTO!) then this is the right place for you. You will be working closely with the Head of Mobile and the CTO to build new applications, new features on existing applications, and define new ways of working and architectures for the business.

Experience needed:

* A proven-track-record building complex android applications in Kotlin, with pixel-perfect UI
* Good knowledge of android architectural concepts e.g. MVC, MVP, MVVM (you will be working on MVVM)
* Prior experience working in a start-up or small company, with an appreciation for working broadly rather than in a siloed role - as you will get the chance to get involved in iOS development too and will occasionally be turning your hand to Swift, Java or any other languages if needed
* Good understanding of working in Agile
* Passion for robust unit testing
* An eagerness to suggest new ideas/ways of working/introduce new technologies to the business

You will initially be working fully remotely, however as COVID-19 restrictions ease, you will be expected to work in the office a couple of days a week - meaning you'll get the chance to work in beautiful offices in Central London! Our client is not rigid about the days you have to come in, so of course, if one week you needed to work fully from home, that would be fine! They would just like to encourage an office presence as they are building a fun and collaborative office culture.

If all of the above sounds interesting to you and you would like to find out more, please send your CV to Petria for immediate consideration! Interviews can happen early next week.
