IT Support Engineer - International Education Charity

IT Support Engineer with excellent IT support experience is required to work on a permanent basis with our international educational charity client.

The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for providing support to users and infrastructure across multiple sites including home workers, engaging in reactive support for break fix incidents escalated from the service desk and completing service requests.

IT Support Engineer - International Education Charity- Essential Experience

• Ability to install, configure and update OS, software and hardware configurations.
• Proficient in Windows 10 deployment, configuration and troubleshooting
• Comprehensive understanding of active directory user, group and computer administration group policy processing
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP TCP/IP
• Experience of MS Exchange & MS 365 user administration and MS office application suite, MS server 2012r2
• Knowledge of ITIL processes
• MS server 2012r2
• Experience of HP desktop and laptop hardware
• Experience of telephone system configuration, video conferencing and Microsoft Teams suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to explain technical jargon in non-technical terms, deal with high pressure scenarios whilst keeping a high attention to detail.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues.
• Skills to maintain mobile devices including phones and tablet computers (Android and IOS).
• Capability to administer multiple directories such as MS Active Directory including user and computer account creation, placement, security group membership and deletion.
• Ability to administer the hosted phone system with phone extensions, hunt groups, IVRs.
• Skills to maintain Anti-Virus and mail scanning systems and attend to any detections.
• Form part of a weekend on-call rota for emergency support (average 1 weekend in 3)

IT Support Engineer - International Education Charity- Desirable Experience

• Experience of Cisco Switch configuration
• Relevant IT qualification’s either MCSA or CCNA or equivalent.

Hybrid working with 1 day per week on site in London.
