IT Business Analyst

Up to £50k + benefits

Remote/Surrey

We are currently recruiting for an experienced IT Business Analyst on behalf of a leading financial services company based in Surrey. The Business Analyst support business improvement initiatives and projects, understanding business change needs, assessing the impact of those changes, capturing, analysing and documenting requirements and supporting the delivery of new requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

* Facilitating and supporting information gathering workshops.
* Working with business users to identify, analyse, evaluate and problem solve operational issues.
* Documenting business needs including business processes and requirements.
* Gaining business and key stakeholder buy-in to requirements.
* Managing third party contributions to the project.
* Supporting the business in defining (and where appropriate executing) test plans including creating test scenarios.
* Understanding and contributing to project plans and implements agreed actions in a timely manner.
* Adheres to the agreed project methodology and provides feedback where appropriate.
* Proactively provides project support to the project manager and project teams.
* Managing project risks and issues.
* Where necessary adopts the role of the project manager on smaller changes.
* Assists business users in implementation and embedding of change.

Experience Required

* Strong Business Analysis experience preferably gained in the financial services sector
* Experience with off the shelf technology packages and vendor selection activities such as defining business requirements / software selection criteria, facilitating and evaluating supplier demonstrations, gap analysis processes, software customisation, configuration, testing and implementation. Design and documentation of business processes and procedures.
* Strong business process mapping (Visio) and analysis experience.
* Able to work within Waterfall and Agile project management frameworks.
* Proven analytical and problem solving skills.

* Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels

The successful candidate will receive a salary of up to £50,000 plus a number of benefits which include 27 day holiday, cont pension and a performance related bonus.
