IT Application Support Manager (Team Lead)


Perm - £60k +10%

I am currently working with a large, UK based company in the financial industry, who are looking for an experienced Team Lead/IT Application Support Manager to join their expanding team and assist with the day to day management of the IT team, as well as acting as a final escalation point for the Applications and data security of the company.

On a day to day basis you will be involved in:

* Day to day team management and work allocation
* Ensuring team capability for first-line support across all supported applications and managing second line support from development SMEs or infrastructure suppliers
* Maintaining a schedule of work (including out of hours support) for the Application Support Analysts taking into account business priorities and available capacity
* Tracking incident and problem levels and maintaining, promoting and reporting on a plan for application improvements
* Conducting post-incident problem analysis and carrying out development to remove repeat problems, engaging SMEs as necessary

They are looking for candidates with the following experience:

* Up to date data security knowledge
* Experience of managing financial institution data interfaces e.g. BACS, RTI, Banks, PRA
* Ability to accurately risk assess each incident
* Sound understanding of change management principles and processes
* Up to date awareness of cyber security developments
* Technical skills in a Linux and/or UNIX environment (Cobol, C#, C, SQL, PostGres, Security access management)
* In-depth, hands-on knowledge of and experience with enterprise applications
* Senior Application Support Analyst on multiple applications and packages
* ITIL knowledge preferable
