Our platinum standard client operating out of North America is looking for a senior resource to be the first hire in the infrastructure team and build the function from Cardiff. We are looking for someone who has senior level experience working on cloud solutions projects, development of cloud infrastructure projects in AWS or GCP. This requires strong leadership skills, strong solutions skills and PMP would be a nice to have. This role will require the individual to work with remote teams in North America.
This is a great opportunity to position yourself as a trusted advisor for cloud solutions to leaders throughout the business. You can expect your days to be filled with stakeholder engagement, meetings with clients and partners, financial services arrangements and executing the design and management of a new infrastructure platform.
From the outset it will be expected that you foster a DevOps/Agile environment and development methodology and ideally are someone who is open to new technologies; the client is passionate about Open Source and uses Drupal.
Being the first hire into this department will mean customer facing skills are essential, preferably customer facing migration skills which would include service identification, assessment, planning, execution and operations.
