Infrastructure Engineering Lead X2- Defence & Security-SC Cleared

Infrastructure Engineering Lead with current SC Security Clearance is needed to work for our defence & security who has international reach on high profile national defence and security programmes.

The Infrastructure Engineering Lead will be responsible for delivering critical systems and services and will support design decisions in addition to assuring other services and systems quality.

Provide oversight in all aspects of Infrastructure and Engineering solutions and shall ensure that both technical and security services are delivered and supported as an integral part of enterprise design and capability.

The Infrastructure Engineering Lead shall support the Enterprise Architect and Lead Technical Architect in their assurance of High Level Technical Designs, enterprise and business requirements documents including Functional and Non-Functional Requirements and Security Architecture.

Infrastructure Engineering Lead X2- Defence & Security-SC Cleared- Essential Experience

• Expert knowledge of the challenges of implementing complex enterprise IS systems comprising on-premise server infrastructure, hardware, software and networking at UK SECRET and above classification solutions.
• Experience of working within the defence and or security sector.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Ability to see big-picture designs from basic specifications
• Ability to assess and solve complex problems with many variables
• Experience in support and design in highly secure environments
• Advanced VMware skills, including a strong command of Horizon, AppVolumes, and a deep understanding of NSX-T
• Experience of VMware vRealize Suite, Automation, Operations, Log Insight and Lifecycle Management
• Experience with creating technical documentation - design documentation - technology and systems/network architecture - technical security standards
• Ability to build, testing installation and commissioning of resistant secure architecture at UK SECRET classification
• Current SC Security Clearance or eligibility to undergo clearance.
• Sole British Nationals, without any Dual Nationality
• UK resident for at least two of the last 5 years

• Experience of VMware Cloud Foundation running on Dell VxRails
• Experience of Programming/Scripting Infrastructure as Code and Testing
• Experience of common automation tools e.g Puppet, Chef, Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, Github
• Firewall configuration, administration and design
• Experience of Gateway and Interoperability technologies used within High classification systems
• Knowledge of IT Service Management tools i.e. SolarWinds, ServiceNow, LogRhythm

The assignment is outside of IR35 for 12 months with hybrid working in London or other locations in the southeast.
