The Head of Information Security bears responsibility for overseeing the Security Operations Team, encompassing all associated responsibilities within this team. The team comprises security analysts, endpoint protection specialists, and incorporates virtual members from Infrastructure teams to extend support and ownership of the existing technical security protection systems. This role encompasses both reactive aspects of operational security (Incident Response) and proactive (Patching, Vulnerability Assessment) and governance-related (technical change review, firewall policy review) facets of the department. Furthermore, this position plays a pivotal role in contributing to the Information Security roadmap for the organization.

In cases where this role lacks direct responsibility for a specific security technology, it remains accountable for governing and ensuring the presence of proper procedures and policies. While primarily an operational role, it maintains close ties with the Information Security Architect and the IT Director.

• Team Management: Responsible for expanding the current team.
• Endpoint Protection
• Mobile Device Management
• Network Access Control Management
• Web Security Governance and Control
• Vulnerability Management
• Security Incident & Event Management.
• Documentation: Maintain records of all Operational Security Procedures.
• Support: Contribute to the delivery of ongoing security initiatives and security projects.
• Policy Review: Review security technology for adherence to policies:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in managing an Operational Security Team in a managerial or team lead capacity or as a senior team member.
• Extensive experience in the field of Information Security.

Desired:

• CISM / CISSP Qualifications
• Awareness/experience of working in ITIL and Agile team environments.
