InterQuest are currently supporting a Building Society with a Head of Compliance position offering flexibility with remote working. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves a challenge and holds experience heading up a compliance function with a lender to make a great impact in a business and have autonomy in this hands-on leadership position.

This position will be broad across regulatory compliance, allowing you to apply your expertise in the area and shape their current framework. The business is looking for someone enthusiastic with great communication skills as you will be working closely with stakeholders to promote a strong people-first compliance culture. Responsibilities include providing advice and guidance on compliance matters, horizon scanning and interpreting FCA regulations to best mitigate risk. You would also be expected to implement strong controls and conduct gap analysis to develop the Compliance Monitoring and Assurance Plan.

The right candidate will have:

  • Hands on regulatory compliance experience - including interpretation of FCA guidelines.
  • Excellent knowledge of secured lending + mortgages (MCOBS).
  • Previous SMF16 experience preferable.
  • Strong experience working in financial services, within a lending environment.
  • Great communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively work across the business.
