Head of Analytics & Insight

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Manchester's most exciting ecommerce brands as the first Head of Analytics & Insight. This company is just about to launch a new digital platform and have been building product development teams for a launch later in the year. To support the product development teams, they've implemented a team of Web Analysts and now starting to build Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Functions. The role will be to oversee these 3 functions.
Ideally the right person will have been responsible for a mixture of web analytics, optimisation, data analytics and BI, at Head of level in a previous role and ideally have had experience of building these functions from scratch, or been responsible for the implementing the long term strategy of these functions. Previous types of companies should be in ecommerce or any kind of company with a high traffic B2C website and of course, a large enterprise organisation.
In terms of tech stack, they are building everything from scratch, so there's no old legacy systems to worry about, and they are using the latest analytics and data tools. As such, they need someone who is able to make decisions on what technology will help the business going forward and an advocate for the latest and best tools. As well as that, they're looking for someone to inspire these teams to bring out the best in the managers and their analysts & developers and to raise the profile of the company into the wider digital & data community.
I'm really looking forward to speaking to candidates about this role and the business in more detail, and I haven't spoken to a candidate yet about this company that hasn't been excited by any of the opportunities on offer. We're open to discussion on salary, as it's more important to find the right person, so I haven't been given a maximum budget. They have proven to be paying above average on all other roles and have an excellent bonus structure.
They're based in Manchester City Centre but all working from home and no plans to be back in until next year. They're open to people outside of Manchester, as long as you can be in the office potentially 1 or 2 days a week from the new year. A great opportunity if you're thinking of making a move from London up to the North at some point.
