InterQuest are currently supporting prestigious global consulting client on an exclusive and exciting mandate to identify a Global Independence Lead (Director level) to join my client on a permanent basis in London.
This unique senior engagement would report directly to the Global Leader for the firm. You would work at a global level engaging directly with the organisations Member Firms, key decision makers and global committees to deliver on critical Quality & Risk initiatives.
You should expect to showcase and share from your experiences, while innovating and developing original methods to deal with the ever-changing regulatory landscape. Alongside this you would lead on the expansion and further development of independence systems and related implementation and change management activities
The team is responsible for ensuring quality and managing risks related to independence. The business area provide oversight across processes, policies and procedures to ensure a high level or service is provided to member firms.
You will make a significant contribution to the quality agenda for the organisation alongside engage with senior stakeholder across the globe.
Responsibilities would include:

Lead on Global Independence Committee

Take charge of identifying challenges in independence processes and systems and propose solutions.

Leading on Independence system implementation for the firm globally

Lead project teams in delivering global independence systems within agreed timelines.

Oversee the implementation activities for independence systems, including change management, communications, and training.

Design and implement support structures for the operation of the systems.
This role is perfect for someone with a robust background in independence, seeking new challenges and opportunities to expand their skill set in a role which offers progression alongside support.
To excel in this role, you would need to:

Possess experience working in an independence function, including the development of independence systems for a network/accounting firm.

Knowledge if IESBA code / SEC requirements

Have extensive operating experience with strong knowledge and awareness of processes and controls.
The role would operate on a hybrid working model in London with 3 days in the office per week.
