Financial Controller

I have a fantastic and rewarding opportunity for a hard-working and a diligent individual to join my clients Finance team based in Manchester and become part of a leading not-for profit company. The role of Financial Controller will suit someone who is CIMA/ACCA qualified with a confident and calm approach to working in a busy environment.

Working closely with the Finance Director, the Financial Controller is responsible for the group's external statutory financial reporting, internal financial policies, the reporting to our regulator, the lead in terms of IT development for the finance team and the group's financial control framework. The Financial Controller needs to ensure that Golden Lane Housing complies with all relevant statutory financial filing requirements in the UK (e.g. Charities Commission, RSL, and Companies House).

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to help shape the financial future of Golden Lane Housing. They are looking for someone who is a superb communicator who can be influential within the senior team, being able to challenge others and communicate with customers and stakeholders at all levels. You will also be a line manager to two Business Finance Managers, so it is essential that you are a motivator and people developer.

To be successful in the role, you will be a self-motivated individual, with excellent interpersonal skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be able to accurately analyse, interpret and manage complex data. You will also need good systems experience and an ability to implement change in a complex organisation. Ideally you will have experience/knowledge within a similar organisation such as a registered social housing provider.

Knoweldge and Experience

* Highly IT literate with excellent spreadsheet modelling
* Experience or working with and leading a team
* Extensive Finance Experience
* Experience of working in a matrix management environment


* ACCA / CIMA qualified
