InterQuest are delighted to be recruiting for a Finance Team Manager for our key client based in their Northampton offices, on a hybrid working pattern. This is a permanent role and will be joining a growing team at a pivotal time, where you will manage the UK finance/accounting services team, including the statutory & management reporting for EMEA entities, SOX & reconciliations teams.

What you will do

* Supervise, train and coach the accounting team, including part qualified accountants & analysts.
* Act as a Finance Business Partner to multiple divisions (Marketing/HR/IT) to lead annual budgeting, forecasting, cost control and reporting to EMEA Senior Management.
* Manage balance sheet control and reviews with quarterly compliance certification
* Preparation and overseeing of Statutory Accounts for 3 Dutch entities (prepared under IFRS)
* Key lead for Deloitte NL in Statutory Audits & liaising with to ensure timely signing/filing of accounts
* Ensuring SOX controls are in place and overseeing SOX testing within the team
* To lead the UK financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
* Manage departmental performance in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and Service Level Agreements (SLA's)
* Collaborate within the EMEA team to drive standardisation & continuous improvements
* Lead, motivate & organise the team to embrace the company core values / achieve high staff engagement.

What experience you will ideally have

* Ideal candidates will have experience in preparation of International Statutory Accounts & consult with Deloitte
* You will preferably be commercially aware, proficient with performing balance sheet reviews and Sox control testing.
* Ideal candidates must be able to read/write/speak English fluently
* A European or Nordic language helpful, but not required
* Candidates will ideally have working knowledge of Oracle financials and experience of managing complex accounting reconciliations and the ability to drive continuous improvements of ARC's
* Intermediate/advanced excel skills are highly desirable
* Ideally you will hold a university degree or equivalent qualification and a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) (or qualified by experience)
* Preferred candidates will have a strong customer focus & commercial finance understanding (for internal stakeholders and external customers)
* The ability to prioritize and make decisions in the given framework for actions is highly advantageous.
* Ideally you will be able to demonstrate skills and experience of motivating and generating enthusiasm throughout the team and manage people performance in a positive direction
