Finance Manager required for a large international Networks Company, working from one of their office's in Berkshire.

Key Targets and Objectives of the role

- Preparing accounting plan for a legal entity consolidation involving (initially) three UK entities and thereafter could expand to more EMEA entities
- Clean up of GL balances in respect of two UK entities prior to consolidation with third UK entity
- Ensuring supporting balance sheet reconciliations prepared & reviewed for balances prior to migration
- Preparing merger trial balance showing various accounting/ tax steps relating to consolidations
- Syncing up with other Finance stakeholders such as Tax, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable on all aspects of the consolidation
- Assisting Finance Manager and EMEA Controller with day to day accounting tasks such as reviewing journal entries for management reporting under US GAAP and balance sheet reconciliations and other adhoc day to day tasks

Background:
- Strong knowledge of core accounting principles, UK & US GAAP and IFRS
- Good planning/ time & project management skills
- Essential Education
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified (a number of years post qualified with mid-tier/ Big 4 accounting firm)

Essential Experience
- Accounting and tax entries in respect of legal entity consolidations under UK and US GAAP
- Clean up of general ledger balances in entities prior to consolidation
- Presenting complex transactions in a clear and simple fashion

Essential system/technical knowledge
- Experience of SAP, BPC and Essbase Hyperion
- Experience in Microsoft Office products particularly Excel & PowerPoint
- Any additional requirements
- Candidate should be accurate, flexible, a good team player, self-motivated and pay attention to details. "Hands-on" approach to getting things done. Sense of organization, planning and prioritization are compulsory
- Experience in Telecoms/ Tech industry would be beneficial
