Disclaimer : Not another standard DevOps advert.
Having a market full of people calling themselves DevOps Engineers is fine if you're in the numbers game. Whether the word DevOps appears in your CV or not, you should apply if:
* You've used Kubernetes or Docker to build cloud infrastructures;
* You come from a background of support and have dabbled in scripting;
* You've written, tested, deployed and maintained code;
* You're an advocate of automation;
As you can see this is the definition of a DevOps job, however we're not hung up on you calling yourself a DevOps Engineer.
The salary range is a big gap and that's because the client has more than 1 opening and they're considering applications with a varied level of practical experience, whether you're starting out your career as a DevOps Engineer or have been DevOpsing for 15 years.
The client have a talented team of software engineers and this role will complement that team, pulling the strings together from all sides of the business, not just the development and operations team. Stakeholder management will be a part of your role. They leverage the latest in tech and believe that their employees have the right to self-development, and that's why they give you a day off per quarter to attend training or development courses which can be subsidised.
Working from home is allowed, but I'm not supposed to tell you this before the interview stage.
You'll get to work on the company's app and be a part of building something close to the consumer's heart.
I could've copy/pasted the spec but thought this would be more fun to read. Drop me your CV and the spec will follow.
