Position Overview:
As a Contract Data Mapping Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the successful implementation of this companie's data-driven projects. You will work closely with stakeholders across various departments to map data from legacy systems to new platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with our data governance standards. Your expertise will be vital in translating business requirements into actionable data models and mappings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Mapping and Transformation: Analyze and document data sources, mapping legacy data structures to new systems and ensuring data integrity throughout the migration process.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements related to data mapping, transformation, and integration.
- Data Quality Assurance: Develop and execute data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of mapped data.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure clear communication and understanding of data mapping requirements and project timelines.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including data flow diagrams, data mapping specifications, and transformation rules.
- Project Management Support: Assist project managers with planning, scheduling, and tracking of data mapping and migration activities.
- Issue Resolution: Identify, analyze, and resolve data-related issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on data mapping and data migration projects.
- Proven experience in working on large-scale data transformation and migration projects.
- Strong understanding of data management principles, including data modeling, data governance, and data quality.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and data querying tools.
- Experience with data mapping tools and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with databases, data warehousing, and data integration platforms.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
