Digital Data Engineer
Aim: To deliver, maintain and improve customer and digital journey data management, performance reporting, and analytical capability, whilst finding opportunities to improve performance and efficiency of the digital analytics cloud infrastructure.
Supporting the Digital Analytics and Customer Management team and implement new solutions to upcoming projects, use Google Cloud Platform to manage data infrastructure
Working closely with the Analytics team and internal customers to create reliable and automated data sources for analysis and building engaging performance dashboards in order to share knowledge and aid data driven decision making.
Ensure data integrity in Google Cloud Platform and proactively identify data errors and reporting issues and improvement opportunities.
Assist in implementing / monitoring the tag management solution for The Company with hands on as well as providing relevant technical assistance to the wider team.
Work closely with The Group's Data & Analytics team to develop and optimise multi-attribution marketing effectiveness tracking models in order to measure performance.
Improve best practice in digital performance analytics methodologies to future team capability.
Participate, engage with and contribute to wider The Group analytical and reporting initiative as required.
Highly commercially aware with understand of business planning and financial processes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written. Ability to translate technical solutions into easily digestible business and digital opportunities and metrics.
Understanding of marketing and digital principles and channels.
Able to engage with and communicate to colleagues at all levels.
High level of customer focus and understanding of customer buying behaviour.
Problem solving capability - ability to develop practical solutions with the big picture in mind.
Clear understanding of the regulatory environment in which the business operates including DPA and UK privacy law application in data management.
Self-motivated & can-do attitude.
