Fully flexible, remote role with an overall package of up to £103,500 + £6,500 car allowance + 10% pension!

Are you an influential Lead Data Engineer, with cloud experience (AWS/Azure or GCP) and over 4 years' experience managing stakeholders and developing large, multi-cultural teams within a global digital program or complex matrix organisation?

Do you have experience working in a cross-functional Agile team, supporting stakeholders on enterprise-wide projects & initiatives?

Our client is one of the world's most sustainable logistics businesses, looking for an innovative, analytical people leader to join their new digital data function, setting standards, driving behaviours and leading the push to educate and develop teams, creating clear pathways, defining succession plans and developing capabilities.

Although this is not a hands-on technical role, our client is looking for someone with advanced analytical skills and technical comprehension of digital devices, who is familiar with modern software engineering techniques such as continuous integration, build, deliver, test-driven development and automated acceptance testing.

Additional requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent Technical Degrees
* An understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms
* Knowledge of implementing data pipelines and dimensional models
* Experience with data lakes, data lake houses and data warehousing

The tech stack for this role is AWS focused, with a primary combination of S3, AWS Glue, Redshift, Databricks, Python, Spark, SQL and big data analytics.
