D365 Developer - £70K + Benefits

Job purpose: this technical specialist will be responsible for the development of the clients business-critical MS Dynamics 365 CRM solution, ensuring it meets business needs and evolves in line with new requirements and best practices to enable the client to create a single customer data source integrated with other critical solutions. The role holder will also advise on and provide specialist support for CRM within a multi-disciplinary applications team.

Develop and provide technical solutions on Dynamics 365 CRM platform including:

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for the CRM system with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (out-of-the-box functionality and limits) & Development and customisation.
  • Understanding of broader Microsoft Stack and how to leverage it to create powerful solutions - managing system development processes, overseeing requirements and product developments, and engaging with key stakeholders
  • Provide specialist advice and lead the continuous review and development of the clients Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM-related data, processes, and solution to ensure they are fit for purpose, deliver efficiencies to the business, and adhere to security requirements
  • Work with IT Architecture, Application Support & Change Management colleagues in leading CRM changes, including detailed analysis, robust design, and transition into service.
  • Introduce new and improve existing functionality such as custom entities and plugins, dashboards, and business process flow through an agreed deployment process
  • Monitor and review software updates, new functionality, and market offerings to enable safe and effective deployment of appropriate enhancements
  • Provide specialist advice and support key areas of CRM Platform to help deliver solutions during high-level design through to full development life cycle involving integration, configuration & maintenance of data feeds, investigation of logs to resolve problems and incidents with strong working relationship with Application Support Team.
  • Advise on and lead CRM implementations to drive corporate initiatives including data quality improvements and master data management and assist in authoring High Level Design and Low-Level Design documentation to maintain and develop knowledge throughout IT.

  • Champion, promote and demonstrate the organisations values in all aspects/areas of the role both within the department and across the organisation
  • Support the organisations management team in the delivery of the vision and corporate priories
  • Take responsibility for supporting performance and cost efficiency focused initiatives, both within own service area and across the organisation with others

Knowledge, skills, and experience


  • Substantial experience of the full lifecycle for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM development from conception, architecture, and design through to test and deployment, following industry best practices
  • Understanding of broader D365 Stack on how to leverage it to create powerful solutions (PowerApps, Power BI, Dataverse, Azure) and platform suite & development and configurations of Logic Apps and D365 Marketing feature.
  • Competent with the use and configuration of the following IT applications:
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365
    • Microsoft DevOps
    • Microsoft Power Apps
  • Experience in implementing Business Rules, WorkFlow solutions and API Integration in Hybrid Cloud environments.
  • Open-minded to learn and develop technical skills in Platforms such as Sitecore and SharePoint. Self-Starter - passionate for Continuous Improvements in Quality Solutions, and Automation where suitable.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Demonstrable experience in interpreting and presenting accurate data in a way that is meaningful to stakeholders at varying levels
  • Experience in working with Agile Product Teams – transparently and collaboratively.
