Cyber Security Team Lead/Manager- Cyber Security Operation’s-Local government

Cyber Security Team Lead/Manager is required to work for our local government client to play a pivotal role in their 'Future State of ICT' moving towards the Cloud being the focal point for Cybersecurity, taking their Cyber security function to the next level.

The Cyber Security Team Lead/Manager will be responsible for managing the organisation’s cyber security function, across policies, testing, compliance and technical capability, including some line management of an experienced network and server team.

Essential Experience

• Knowledge, understanding and experience of network, device, and physical cyber security.
• Able to assess current Cyber Security capability, processes and IT infrastructure and identify and implement improvements.
• Demonstrated Cyber security knowledge to CISSP level.
• Significant Experience of managing and implementing server hardware,
• storage, backup and SAN technology in an on premise large complex organisation with an excellent working knowledge of current technology standards.
• Experience of using and managing SIEM tools.
• Experience looking for software and hardware vulnerabilities monitoring for threats, attacks and intrusions
• Understanding of technology functions related to Information Security, including technical standards and procedures.
• Good data analysis skill to create reports, identify problems and present service status to senior business leaders with appropriate insights.
• Ability maintain Cyber Essentials Plus PSN compliance and certification.
• Capability to maintain ICT Security policies whilst designing, developing, implementing, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures.
• Skills to ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
• Broad range of IT and systems architecture, implementation, and operations experience, (Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, Server administration, firewalls and networks, physical hosting solutions and cloud hosting solutions)
• Skills to support projects and changes requiring IT infrastructure or configuration.
• Knowledge of IT Security Incident Management.

Desirable Experience

• Experience managing technical teams (IT Infrastructure and Networking teams).
• Experience of migrating largely on-premise infrastructure to the Cloud.
• Experience of working within a cyber security function within a local government or public sector environment.

Salary: £49,590.-£52,665 per year

Hybrid working with 1 day per week on site in the west midlands with flexibility.
