InterQuest are hiring for a Contract Service Desk Anayst to join our leading Not For Profit client based in Leeds.
This is a 3 month contract (likely to extend) to start ASAP.
The position of service desk analyst is to deliver triage and primary incident solution, responsibilities include initial test, allocation of the task to 2nd / 3rd line, and requests concerning the use of application software and hardware products along with infrastructure constituents.
The analyst will be accountable for gathering information through gathering data from the end user, log on to support tools, and additional support staff (service resources) if needed. Issues outside the scope of their capability or responsibility are fixed by engaging 2nd and 3rd line support in IT team.
The service desk analyst will provide the first point of contact between with IT and the end user. During the incident resolving process, analysts work with other experts, vendors, and specialists to solve the incidents for the end user. The analyst will work in conjunction with the Senior IT Manager and Infrastructure engineers to deliver agreed strategies to maintain, protect and develop the IT systems.
Excellent IT skills (use of Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office and similar products)
Incident Management experience - Managing incidents including business expectations and communication
Time management skills( completion of assigned task to agreed deadlines)
Excellent organisational skills (planning of numerous and varied assigned tasks)
Written communication skills (clear, concise and accurate written summary of work progress)
Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
Rates are negotiable (market rates)
