Skills & Requirements

* You're a technical and analytical person, with a confident technical knowledge of IT Systems, but you're also able to convey technical information to a non-technical audience
* You have experience of managing an Active Directory Domain with Windows and Mac devices, including synchronisation with Office365/Azure AD and supporting remote workers
* You have experience managing Windows Server 2008 through 2019
* You are familiar with VMWare and Veeam for server virtualisation and backups
* You have hands on experience of using IIS and SQL Server to support web application
* You are familiar with how to use monitoring systems to generate actionable alerts
* You understand why asset management is important
* You'll really impress us if you

* Have previously worked in an organisation who develop software
* Have used Zabbix, especially if you have built your own templates
* You know your way around Azure, especially for Platform as a Service workloads
* Are comfortable using GUI and Command Line
* Understand SQL Database Administration and Optimisation
* Know what Infrastructure as Code is and have used some systems implementing it
* Have used Boxstarter and Chocolatey to automate machine builds
* Know your way around Gitlab, Teamcity and Octopus Deploy
* Have been involved in Security Compliance, such as ISO27001

What you'll be doing:

* Ensuring servers, networks and computers are functioning as expected and meeting the needs of the business
* Managing user accounts and IT assets in line with our ISO27001 accreditation
* Providing a seamless on boarding experience for new users from an IT perspective
* Reviewing and extending monitoring systems to reduce the day to day burden of maintaining a well-managed IT environment
* Responding to, resolving, and preventing recurrence of any monitoring alerts
* Prioritising and responding to IT Service Desk Tickets
* Providing expertise on technical matters to clients and colleagues
* Taking responsibility for infrastructure security
* Keeping your eyes and ears open for ways we can further streamline our processes
* Ensuring the ongoing security and compliance of all IT systems
