Junior IT Change/Release Analyst

My client, a leading Asset Manager based in London are looking for an IT Change/Release Analyst to join them on initial 12 month contract.

The ideal candidate would be a strong IT (or similar) Graduate, with around 1 or 2 years’ commercial experience, who can follow basic processes. The idea being, that full training will be given, so that the right person can come in and grow in to a strong Change/Release Analyst.

These people do not necessarily have or need extensive experience or technical knowledge, they just need to be hungry, IT literate candidates, who want to learn and grow in the industry.

Junior IT Change/Release Analyst

Role reports to:
• Head of Business Application Support

Purpose of role:
• The candidate will work as a member of the Change Management Team. The team is responsible for delivering a responsive end to end change and release service to the IT development and support teams.

Role accountabilities:
• Ensuring that all IT teams follow the release management process and escalate any repeated breaches.
• Record releases that directly or indirectly cause support Incidents.
• Once changes are approved, work through deploying changes.
• Attend daily Change Management meetings.
• Liaise with relevant teams to prioritise and schedule release tasks.
• Send out scheduled work communications daily including all releases which need to, or have been deployed.
• Provide support in carrying out ad-hoc emergency changes
• Document new release procedures and standards related to change management in our knowledge base.
• Strive to devise and develop solutions to automate the release procedures.
• Respond to user queries and issues in a prompt and professional manner. Ensure regular face to face contact.

Knowledge and skills required:
• Self-starter with the confidence to assess, identify and advise resolutions to the development team.
• Excellent people management skills, particularly communication.
• Ability to work under pressure and remain professional at all times.
