Senior Business Analyst

Sussex

upto £85k plus 12% car allowance, c20% bonus, pension, PMI, Dental and other generous benefits.

Working with a FTSE100 Financial Services client, we are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst based in Sussex for this exciting yet challenging opportunity.

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with strong leadership skills - the role currently has 3 DR's - possibly growing to 6. You will have strong experience with Agile methodology and be able to lead the team forwards from a Waterfall environment.

Duties:

You will be experienced at taking responsibility for Business Analysis within a significant segment of an organisation. You will advise and guide divisional directors on initiatives that should be undertaken to deliver a step change that s to the long term Business and IT strategies and will have a significant and measurable impact on the profitability or effectiveness of the division.
You will work with the most senior client/user management to refine strategies, drawing up requirements specifications, conducting feasibility studies, producing high level and detailed business models and implementing solutions, which will have a measurable impact on the profitability and effectiveness of the organisation.
You will critically review and evaluate any proposed solutions identifying ment with business requirements, making recommendations to senior managers ensuring they are fully aware of key risks and assumptions, and marrying up technical limitations with operational realities.
Lead Business Analysis activities for complex projects in an environment moving increasingly towards agile development, providing supervision and mentoring for junior and business analysts. Allocate business analysis tasks within this area to more junior analysis staff as required, and take full responsibility to ensure work is delivered to the required standard.
Comply with agreed methodology, standards, policies and procedures to ensure strong governance, sharing knowledge and providing feedback and ideas so that performance is continually improved.
Understand the principles of Business Transformation and is able to translate these principles into business/people change activities and project outcomes.
Define, develop & deliver processes & systems to ensure a consistent and good level of service that means customer expectations are met, consistent with what we have communicated and is ed to our Treating Customers Fairly policy.
Take the lead in all matters with regard to the management of employees, ensuring that management discretion is used in a consistent manner and that the area follows the Group's policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement to maximise business performance.
Ensure that appropriate prioritising, planning, resourcing and contingency for customer issues are integrated into programme and resource plans, so they are central to delivery to our Customer Experience and TCF Treating Customers Fairly Policy.
Skills Required

Experience

This role is responsible to oversee the delivery of IT projects, checking that the deliverables are fit for purpose
You should have a technical IT background – more than a standard BA would have
Knowledge and experience of Infrastructure – IaaS, PaaS, Mainframes, Azure Cloud, ITIL, governance, IT related frameworks would be ideal
Strong Data background would be ideal
Responsible to collaborate with 3rd party suppliers, able to speak the language and challenge where needed
Agile working is encouraged
Qualifications:

Ideally, degree level qualification, or equivalent
Ideally, IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional? (CBAP®) or BSC ISEB Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis.
Knowledge:

Extensive business analysis work experience
Outstanding business analysis experience required and proven delivery track record of change / transformation.
Adaptable and creative approach to business analysis.
Skills:

Excellent communications, interpersonal and presentation skills in order to influence internal and external stakeholders
Ability to self-manage and work in a dynamic environment.
Strong collaboration skills including working with Project Managers and Test Managers / Analysts.
The ability to manage and benefit from virtual meetings, with limited reliance on face-to-face meetings
The willingness to embrace new technologies and influence other parts of the business to adopt
A relentless drive towards paperless working, wherever possible
The willingness and ability to work without the constraints of a fixed office or desk location, focusing on outcomes and benefits, rather than tasks and measures
