Purpose of your role
The Asset Manager are embarking on a multi-year program to significantly enhance its collaboration technology toolset. This involves the deployment of Windows 10 to both virtual and physical endpoints, the adoption of Office365 and associated tools in their entirety and integration with other products and further adoption of Desktop virtualisation - some of which will provisioned from Azure. The project is global in scope and high profile; the successful candidate will have strong experience in the end user space in a highly regulated environment.

The candidate will work with the collaboration technology program manager and collaboration technology management team to plan project changes and coordinate the technical deliverables. They will ensure that full account is taken of the practicalities of integrating the new technical capabilities into the business, including planning around key business cycles, selecting appropriate candidates for migration, etc. They will be embedded in the technical delivery team and be part of it to deliver the solution in an agile fashion.

They will work collaboratively with their equivalent global project leads to ensure consistent management approach and project process adherence. The person will establish and maintain a strong working relationship with TIS teams and Product and Resource heads. They will also work closely with the Infrastructure Delivery Manager (IDM’s) to review new projects; assignment of IPM’s and issue resolutions. They will take full responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of complex projects (typically greater than 12 months, with significant business or high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies), ensuring that realistic project, quality, change control and risk management processes are maintained. Monitors and controls resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget and manages expectations of all project stakeholders. The UK Senior Manager is also responsible for TIS project processes, project templates and SharePoint – both adherence and improvement strategies.

Your key accountabilities
• Project Management for assigned IT infrastructure and technology projects ‘end-to-end’
• Experience of delivering Operating System Upgrades across the Enterprise
• Experience of managing the deployment of SaaS solutions (and Office365 in particular)
• Query and understand the business requirements for new technology areas
• Involve a team of technical specialists from IT operations team to work on assigned projects
• Work/involve Global IT counterparts to get the clarity on global IT standards
• Prepare weekly project reports to concerned stake holders
• Respond to escalated items from team members and timely escalation of issues to senior IT management
• Ensure the liaison with the other IT support groups
• Ensure that solutions proposed by technical teams are in line with the companys standards, scalable and within budgets
• Problem resolution – dealing with escalated issues, liaise with systems support groups, Global teams, external vendors and business units to resolve issues
• Good working relationship with Facilities, Procurement, Finance & other concerned departments
• Vendor relationship management
• Owning TIS project processes and driving improvements
• Building effective and productive working relationships with all TIS groups
• Management and development of the UK TIS PM’s including goal setting process, individual objectives, managing the appraisal, salary and bonus process and monitoring team progress against objectives
• Ensure efficient day to day management of the UK TIS PM group, including (but not limited to) resourcing requirements, training, staff appraisals, succession planning, forward planning etc.
• Provision of management reporting as required
• Develop an enthusiastic, motivated, high performing team with a global mindset.
