IQ Public Sector are working with a growing academic health partnership to on-board a Communications and Engagement Manager for an excellent contract opportunity to work alongside some large and highly academic professionals.

As Communications and Engagement Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies which help deliver against business objectives.

This role will require a self-starter with exceptional drive, self-motivation and organisations skills. You will need the personal credibility to work with people at all levels in stakeholder organisations.

You will have experience in developing and delivering creatively driven communications plans, as well as excellent organisational skills and event management experience. You will be adept at collaborating with key players in the local health and social care economy, and within industry, to develop opportunities for building our community.

Key responsibilities
• Produce content for, manage schedule and post, and maintain a clear, concise narrative about the programme, across our active social media channels.
• Provide communications support and advice to members of the team who are organising regular events. This includes promotion through campaigns, marketing collateral, targeted messages, video, photography and social media. Involvement in planning and logistics for modest promotional events designed to help with the launch of new offers.
• Actively support the programme director in the organisation, curation, and delivery of the programme and a large network event.
• Manage the website, overseeing high quality written and visual content creation and uploading to the CMS; all the time ensuring a consistent narrative and strong SEO. Liaise with web developers as needed.
• Manage platforms including Soundcloud, iTunes, YouTube, Mailchimp.
• Working with the Business Manager to design and produce branded marketing collateral and merchandise.
• Lead the monthly communications meeting with other communication leads.
• Measure and track metrics relating to the communications and engagement activities. Monitor effectiveness of channels, campaigns and messages. Use Google alerts for media monitoring. Evaluate effectiveness and tweak tactics and approaches in response to metrics.
• Working with the Communications Manager in another department, manage media responses and proactive releases to promote and maintain the reputation of the programme. Advise and support the team on press and communications issues.

Essential experience:
• A track record of designing and delivering communication and engagement strategies.
• A track record of planning and organising successful events.
• A track record of juggling and leading the delivery of multiple strands of a complex communications and engagement plan to a high quality.
• Experience of managing digital communication channels, including CMS and social media.
• Experience of copywriting clear, concise copy to be used across a range of channels.
• Experience of managing external suppliers e.g. communications agencies, web designers, graphic designers.
• Experience of working with teams that span organisational boundaries and the development of joint projects.
• Experience of delivering tactical communications campaigns in the healthcare sector and/or digital health sector.

Skills, knowledge and abilities:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong and proven organisational skills (ability and willingness to use planning tools to organise workload), to focus on and ability to juggle competing demands.
• Leading with confidence, being able to quickly engender trust in the team and key stakeholders around you.
• Keen eye for, and proactive approach to identifying and analysing opportunities (patterns/trends) to further engage the online and offline community, and position the brand in the best possible way.
• A natural process driven approach to managing content delivery.
• Attention to detail.
