IQ are currently looking to recruit an Incident Manager to work for a leading global IT solutions client based in Watford on a perm basis to work with the Service Desk area.

Role: Incident Manager
Salary: £45,000 Benefits
Location: Hertfordshire

The role:
An experienced Incident Manager is to ensure that incidents are processed effectively through first, second and third line, as appropriate and with broad understanding of the importance of incident management across the IT organisation. This includes developing, managing, and administering the incident process as a best practice. The Incident Manager will also facilitate communication between the Service Desk and Group IT departments in order to maintain the SLAs required. Accountable for Incident process goals.
• Background in service desk roles i.e. 2nd and 3rd line support. But needs to be an experience Incident Manager.

Experience:
• Working in an IT Service Desk as an ITIL process owner
• Good understanding of how IT contributes to the delivery of end customer services
• Operating, communicating and presenting at management level
• Broadly skilled in information and communications technology.

You will be asked to define and document the KPIs, reporting and key controls for the Incident process
Ensuring consistent end-to-end execution of the Incident process across the IT organisation.
Be a part of and take lead at Major Incident calls

Skills:
• Relationship Management skills
• Excellent skills and knowledge in Service Now ITSM tool
• Good numeric and administrative skills
• Good understanding of statistical and analytical principles
• Promotes and supports standardization and continuous improvement.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including building good working relationships with business managers and service desk agents
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
ITIL
