IQ Public Sector currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Relationship Manager.

You will be joining us at an exciting transition period as we relocate to a new location and embrace agile ways of working with improvements to customer service at the forefront of everything we do.

You will become part of the Business Applications and Information Governance sector and play a pivotal role in ensuring changes within the IT systems meet the needs of residents, stakeholders and internal users. You will have a key part in redesigning ways of working to improve services, ICT and efficiencies within the new structure of the Council and help ensure a culture of continuous improvement.

You will play a pivotal part in communications between services/partners and ICT teams to meet the needs of the business and customers whilst working with Project Managers and the newly formed Business Improvement Team to process business needs and maximise ICT systems efficiency.

What does the role entail?
• Promote the needs of service users and put in place management arrangements which action this
• Writing business cases and tender to procurement
• Liaise between the technical teams and business teams in the organisation
• To improve service quality and innovative ways of ensuring services meet the needs of residents and are accessible to all users
• Lead and manage a team of Business Relationship Officers and ensure continuous improvement is carried out throughout the Council
• Build effective working relationships with customers and stakeholders
• Lead the development of the Service Plan and Service Level Agreements for your team and areas

What key skills/experience is required?
• Strong track record in managing relationships between services and ICT projects with emphasis on benefits realisation – background in ICT
• Understanding of ITIL, how a Service Desk works and change requests
• Able to demonstrate working relationship development with both internal and external users/customers
• Strong stakeholder engagement and management with the ability to demonstrate mitigation between different agendas, resolve conflicts and achieve positive outcomes
• Management of broad issues and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• Develop new approaches and analyse situations
• Lean systems thinking
