Enterprise Platforms Administrator - SCCM

Our client based in London within the financial services arena require the following skills & expereince:

Successful day to day operation of IT Enterprise Platforms systems.
- Develop and enhance the current IT Enterprise Platforms infrastructure.
- Ensure all scheduled maintenance tasks are completed.
- Provide support for the banks applications and infrastructure services.
- Ensure changes to applications are authorised and correctly implemented.
- Maintain an awareness of risks within IT Infrastructure and escalate where appropriate.
- Maintain an awareness of the banks business strategy and its implications on IT Infrastructure.
- Provide technical support to IT and Business Change projects.

Qualifications required:

- VMware VCP 5.
- Redhat RHSA / RHCE.
- MS SCCM 2012 Certification.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

Senior administrator who will be expected to advise / guide other members of the team.
Technical lead on business projects.
Technical lead on specific IT projects.
Liaise with technical leads from other IT functions as part of BAU process.
Design technical solutions to resolve complex challenges.
Provide engineering support for other infrastructure teams.
Building and deploying server hardware and applications.
Advise on and recommend appropriate applications for particular tasks.
Ensuring flexible cover to include the hours of 8:00 – 18:00 (shift pattern).

Experienced in design, operations and administration of the core IT systems used by the bank. This includes technologies spanning traditional infrastructure and cloud teams.

Procedural knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose systems and procedures.
Excellent understanding of Linux (Redhat), VMware, SCCM, AWS.
Good understanding of windows server.
Operational understanding of SAN technologies and Veritas NetBackup.
Experienced in procedural changes, IT policies and written technical documentation.
Proven experience working on projects and within project teams.

Technical experience necessary:

RHEL 6/7 (Design / Implementation).
ESXi 5.5 (Design / Implementation).
AWS SysOps (Engineering).
SCCM 2012 (Design / Implementation).
EMC VNX2, Brocade Fabric.
NetBackup v7.
Windows Server 2008 / 2012.
