IQ Talent Solutions are working on behalf of their client, a renowned retail and telecommunications company supporting with the recruitment of an interim Senior HR Business Partner to be based in West London

The Role
Partner with the functional Director(s) to champion the strategic People Plan. Translating and delivering this for specified business area of responsibility through effective business partnering that drives improved business performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Works with HRD and areas of expertise to design, develop and deliver the people agenda in line with overall HR strategy.
* Lead on developing innovative approaches in collaboration with the wider HR team and Group HRD and business to continue to build an enhanced culture of employee engagement.
* Lead on the design and delivery of strategic and tactically focused people initiatives with a clear link to delivering business strategy and driving business performance.
* Equip business with appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively manage their people in line with their people plans e.g. performance and absence management, career management.
* Partner with senior managers to educate and coach on the performance management process and the goals of employee development.
* Support the design of team based development plans and ensure the business adhere to development plans and development is happening for all employees
* Coach and Mentor HR business partner(s) / direct report(s). Build strong collaborative partnerships with ExCo Directors and Senior Management
* Provide critical business insight to Centres of Expertise and HR Service Delivery to drive continuous improvement in HR strategy
* Assist in the design of new people strategies and processes either developed within a business unit or group wide.

Skills & Experience

* Degree educated with a post degree qualification in HR or Organisational Psychology preferred
* Candidates will ideally have proven experience in a similar role with a progressive commercial organisation, ideally in a head office environment.
* You will be able to demonstrate extensive experience in proactively understanding business challenges and partnering with Senior Level Management to develop HR mechanisms to deliver business plans. With experience of driving change initiatives and embedding behaviours a distinct advantage
* Previous experience of delivering innovative HR initiatives, particularly around performance management, talent management, employee engagement, and workforce planning would be a huge advantage
* Candidates will ideally be a Strategic Thinker: can think ahead and make things happen, take ownership for creating and delivering innovative HR initiatives that encapsulate brand values and provide real commercial benefit.
