IQ Talent Solutions are delighted to be working with one of our key asset management clients to support with the recruitment of a PR Assistant on an interim 12 month contract based in Henley on Thames

The Role
To support UK PR and ensure provision of a first rate media relations function. To assist in proactively raising the profile of the client amongst target audiences through key national and trade financial media and support sales/marketing campaigns as appropriate

Duties & Responsibilities
• Liaise with press cuttings agency and handle any new media relations requests
• Daily monitoring of all media comment and highlight significant coverage
• Maintain a comprehensive library of press coverage and provide articles as and when requested
• Liaise with the internal compliance team to ensure that material is logged, approved and amended, as appropriate, for issue to media
• Circulate press information internally as required - ensure web team/internal communications receive news items/information to enable them to load Press Centre/intranet.
• Organise placed articles/comments and ensure they are supplied to media as agreed
• Provide Press Office support – provision of information to media. To source, check and provide fund/statistical/manager information as requested
• To maintain budget/process invoices
• PR functions/duties as required: setting up press interviews; liaising with the PR agency; attending PR meetings; drafting press releases; press events

Skills & Experience
• Candidates will have previous experience within a communications/customer-facing role ideally within financial services
• Previous PR or Media Relations experience highly desirable
• Candidates will have a general financial services or asset management industry/product knowledge, given the timescales for recruitment this is a pre-requisite for this role
• You will have good communication skills, both verbal and written and be confident working with senior stakeholders
• Candidates will ideally have good organisational skills and a proficiency with financial websites and information systems
• An enthusiastic and pro-active approach would be highly desirable for this role, it is a great opportunity to join a thriving team
