North Acton (Regular travel to Newark and Sheffield)
6 Month Contract
Upto £350 p/d

InterQuest Solutions are working on behalf of their client, a renowned telecommunications company based in West London, looking for a Services Accountant to join their team
This role has been created in the Planning Centre of Excellence (CoE); to drive efficient, effective and consistent business planning. Supporting the financial planning activities of the Services Finance Team, the role will own and adapt all models used for commercial forecasting. The role holder will be accountable for the preparation of accurate, insightful and timely short, medium and long term forecasts for the Services Division (encompassing CSA, AVS, Mobile Insurance, Repairs and Contact Centres) on behalf of the Services FD and his team.

The role is based in Acton and will cover all Services Commercial and Operations functions.

Main Areas of Responsibility:
• Ownership and development of all Financial Plans for the Services Division (Forecasts, Outlooks, Budgets and 3YPs)
• Key support for the business functions providing insight, updates on progress/timelines and communication with the wider Commercial Finance
• Ensures that all Services functions provide timely assumptions for input into forecasts
• Supporting and challenging multiple business owners at senior level within the business.
• The role is truly cross functional requiring liaising with finance colleagues in the Dixons and Carphone businesses.
• Working collaboratively with 4 peers across the Planning & Forecasting CoE
• Supporting a programme of Financial Planning standardisation and process optimisation
• Requires the ability to influence at all levels, creating and delivering top quality presentations.
• Support for month end accounting and reporting to support the tam to provide quality planning inputs at busy times.

• Accountable for the production, communication and business management of Services Forecasting processes and deliverables (3YP, Budget, STF, Flash and Risk & Opps) whilst ensuring that all appropriate stakeholders are able to input as required.
• Production of robust and challenging plans
• The role is a key element of the Finance Operating Model, ensuring that at all times the forecasted financial position of the business is true and fair and is understood by both the Finance team and the business.

Skills and Experience:
• Experience business planning within a large retail/services organisation
• Professionally qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
• Analytical skills with the ability to provide commercial and financial insight.
• Able to influence at all levels within the business
• Able to operate In the detail but see the trends and understand bigger picture
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Good technical accounting skills and excellent Microsoft Office skills
• Strong data and analytical skills
