InterQuest Solutions are delighted to be working with one of our key clients a market leader in the retail and telecoms sector, supporting with the recruitment of an interim Finance Analyst for their Commercial Rebates team.

Role Summary
This role will be a key member of the Supplier Funding team with ownership and accountability of the supplier funding revenue budget. This role will offer the chance to gain an understanding of the groups back margin operations, working closely across various internal stakeholders including the Category Buying team, Supply Chain, Marketing and Finance. You will also have exposure to external stakeholders across key suppliers. You will be involved in the end to end process from contract negotiations to ensuring cash is recoverable at the end of the agreed activity.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Month end – Ensure accurate reporting of supplier funding. Working closely with stakeholders to streamline processes and build better understanding of the Accounting and control CoE function and to ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Balance sheet reconciliations – Produce the monthly balance sheet reconciliations for submission on four accounts for balance sheet submissions
• Budgeting and Forecasting – Supporting the Commercial Finance Business partner to build motivating yet challenging budgets/ short-term reforecasts and working with the business on a regular basis to highlight opportunities and risks
• Commercial Analysis and Support
o Provide detailed understanding and insight on monthly results
o Identify opportunities to drive value and highlighting key risks with cash-flow to the business
o Present the results in a clear manner with the monthly period review pack and against full year outturn
o Deep dive into customer profitability analysis and supporting the overall buying strategy
• Accounting advice – Advise the Accounting & Control CoE on best practice and the financial accounting implications of new initiatives, seeking guidance where necessary on contract agreements and ensuring optimal treatments are implemented, whilst also supporting/educating the commercials teams on the correct accounting controls to prevent risk during negotiations

Skills & Experience
• Candidates will ideally have a relevant Accountancy Qualification CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or at least 3 to 4 years QBE
• Previous Retail and Commercial Experience will be a distinct advantage
• Proven advanced Excel Skills are highly desirable
• Ability to demonstrate and deliver comprehensive Stakeholder Management, manage and influence senior stakeholders
• Excellent Accounting and Financial Management able to apply financial knowledge to commercial and operational areas and explain clearly to others
