InterQuest are currently recruiting for an Insurance/Actuarial Analyst on a permanent basis for a leading Reinsurance client in the Midlands.

The purpose of the role is to provide support to the Risk Manager and wider Risk Management function and contribute to the provision of ongoing Risk Reporting, assurance that the Risk Management Framework is designed and operating effectively and support the business in meeting its obligations with regards to risk management, including Solvency II and the Internal Model Application Process.

Key Deliverables:
Risk Management Reporting
• Support Quantitative (Financial) and Qualitative (Operational) elements of risk reporting including Own Risk Solvency Assessment production:
• Support the delivery of the Solvency II regulatory risk narrative reporting.
• Support the delivery of the regular monthly/quarterly risk reporting to the governing committees.
• Support the proactive and timely delivery for all committee relationships.
• Support the reporting of Operational Events and Issue management.

Maintaining Risk Management Systems
• Support the governance of the Risk Management Standards and Model Governance Policies.
• Support the production and promote the Control Risk Behaviour statistics.

• Develop and maintain good relationships with members of management around the business on an on-going basis.
• Work collaboratively with the other 2nd line functions (including Information Security, Operational Risk Management, Group Risk Management functions and Compliance), Business Management and Governance teams (in 1st line).

Knowledge and Experience:
* Experience in the UK Life and pensions industry.
* Preferably a quantitative qualification in either accountancy or actuarial or very strong operational risk experience that can be applied to these areas.
* Significant hands on experience of operational risk frameworks
* Good Knowledge of PRA and Solvency II requirements.
* Good knowledge of financial reporting concepts and processes.
* Good understanding of risk management and corporate governance practices.
